Born in Alicia, she was the daughter of the late James Monroe and Sylvia Gilmore Goff and was raised in Leachville. Marie retired from J-Marr Express Trucking Company in Searcy in 2006, after working over 30 years as an over the road truck driver. Marie enjoyed karaoke singing country songs and spending time with her grandson. She was a member of the Nettleton Church of Christ in Jonesboro.
