Ruth Nell Touzen

Ruth Nell Touzen, 88, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at her home.

Ruth was born in Dorsey, Miss., to Troy and Alvie Christian Parker. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Church in Osceola. Ruth was very active in her church and was a devoted mother to her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Winfred “Buddy” Tounzen; her parents; son, Winfred “Buddy” Tounzen, Jr.; two brothers; and five sisters.

Ruth leaves her two daughters, Gayle Heard and her husband Virgil and Sybil Riggs and her husband Jackie, all of Blytheville; seven grandchildren, Aimee Smith, Sandra Ingraham, April Tounzen, Tiffany Todd, Carrie Brown, Meagan Guinn and Jackie Riggs, Jr.; 18 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 6, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phillip Tidwell officiating. Entombment will follow in Dogwood Mausoleum. There will be a private family visitation. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 50 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
