Normally when I get an e-mail with "Fw: Fwd:.." it goes straight to the trash. But the headline grabbed my attention: "So You Think gas is expensive???"

It won't be long now (about 10 tonight) 'til Alexandra and Leah-Bo will be here for a visit with grandma and grandpa -- and the visit will last for a week.

Mrs. Wilma Skelton, 83, of Cordova, Tenn., formerly of Blytheville, passed from this life Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at Grace Health Care in Cordova.

Mr. Jimmy Hodge, 75, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011, at his home.

Mrs. Laverne Harlan, 78, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Tuesday, March 22, 2011.

Ms. Deborah Glasscock Bird, 50, died Friday, March 25, 2011, at her home in Blytheville.

Jayda Gail Trammel was born to Angel Wren-Trammel and Dustin Trammel of Blytheville on March 1, 2011, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Blytheville native Perry Chambers has reopened the bowling alley on the Arkansas Aeroplex. Split Time Lanes has been open to the public now for more than a month.

This week's Pet of the Week at the Blytheville Humane Society is "Raven," an adult, female, Husky/Cattle Dog mix. Raven was brought into the shelter as a stray.
