Mr. Jimmy Hodge, 75, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011, at his home. Born in Gosnell to R.J. and Louise Bryeans Hodge, he was the owner of Hodge Tin Shop and owned and managed Calumet Village Apartments. He attended Gosnell Baptist Church and was a devoted family man who loved spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by his grandsons, Mark Brandon Bond and Stephen Michael Bond.

He leaves his wife, Ruby Davis Hodge of the home;

His children, Cindy Akin and husband, Gordon, of Jonesboro, and Jim Hodge and wife Cynthia of Caruthersville;

His sister, Tonya Birster of Gosnell;

His grandchildren, Dr. Heather Southard, Lauren Hodge, Gray Hodge and Chase Hodge; and

His great-grandchildren, Blakeley Southard and Brandon Southard.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Wayne Graves officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friendsfrom 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be e-mailed to cobbfuneralhome@sbcglobal.net
