Thursday, May 9, 2024

Lorain Anderson was born Sept. 6, 1953, in Blytheville and departed this life on Monday, May 6, 2024. Lorain was one of four children born to the late Charles Debose and Williemae Debose. Both parents and three siblings preceded her in death, Charles Debose ll, Henrietta Marshall and Frank Debose; and one nephew, Richard Debose.

Lorain accepted Christ at an early age at First Missionary Baptist Church. Lorain was a wonderful mother and mother figure to so many. She had many friends and was a well-loved member of the community of Blytheville. She was the first lady of new Mt. Olive Church in New Madrid, Mo., where she assisted and spearheaded several ministries. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, singing and watching Walker Texas Ranger. You dare not disturb her while doing either of these things, she would ignore you and reply, “I know that’s right!”

Lorain leaves to cherish her memories the love her life, her husband Pastor Robert Anderson Sr.; her children, Brenda (Terry) Smith, Williemae (Bernard) Webb, Jessiemae (Daryl) Armstrong, Robert (Janetta) Anderson Jr., Frank (Kendra) Anderson, Nikki (Nathaniel) Moore and Renee Fountain; one sister-in-law, Delois Debose; three nieces, Patricia Williams, Lisa Debose and Toshia (Simeon) Richardson; two nephews, Charles Debose lll and Fredrick (Irene) Debose; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
