Georgia Ruth Beach

Georgia Ruth Beach, 79, of Manila, widow of Charles William “Bill” Beach, passed from this life Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Monette Manor Nursing Center. Born in Manila to the late Ike and Olive Jones Minirth, she was raised near Leachville and was a 1963 graduate of Leachville High School. She later received her master’s degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. Georgia was a lifelong educator, specializing in elementary reading. She taught for over 40 years in the Manila Public School System. Following her retirement Georgia loved spending time with, encouraging, and supporting her grandchildren, and writing short stories. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. Frank Minirth.

Georgia is survived by two sons, Wade Beach (Alissa) of St. Louis, Mo., and Alan Beach (Melissa) of Keiser; five grandchildren, Micah Beach, Luke Beach, Ethan Beach, Emily Kate Beach and Burch Milano.

Graveside funeral service will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, May 11, at the Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Mo., with Rev. Brian Beach and David Holt officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. The family encourages friends to visit at the cemetery following the service.
