Jeanette Gail Spence Buff

Jeanette Gail Spence Buff, 84, of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, May 3, 2024, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in Pontiac, Mich., and raised in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late William Bryan and Mary Allen Reed Spence. She received her general education degree in 1958 and was employed by The Motorola Corporation in Phoenix, Ariz., for 30 years. She returned to Leachville in 1989 and was a member of The Second Baptist Church. Jeanette enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, shopping, music and watching religious television channels. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her longtime companion, Ethridge Mack Bounds; a sister, Linda Ruth Garrett; and a daughter, Mary Ann Robertson.

Survivors include one daughter, Sherry Bunger (Dave) of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Bryan “Buddy” Spence and Lee Spence, both of Imboden; one sister, Joy White of Jonesboro; four grandchildren, Brandon Robertson, David Bunger (Tricia), Ashley Dubbs (Cassidy) and Dustin Bunger (Lauren). Jeanette also leaves nine great-grandchildren, seven nephews and three nieces.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, in the Leachville Cemetery with pastor David Price officiating. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service time at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.HowardFuneralService.com.
