Lester B. Franklin

Lester B. Franklin was born Dec. 12, 1947, in Blytheville, to E.P. Franklin Sr. and Linnie Armour. She departed this life on March 26, 2024, at her home in Blytheville at the age of 76. She was preceded in death by her parents, Linnie and E.P. Franklin Sr.; two sons, Thomas J. Black and Patrick R. Franklin; one grandson, Thomas N. Black; two brothers, Johnny B. Franklin and E.P. Franklin Jr.; three sisters, Dorothy Jean Edwards, Annie Bell Franklin and Ruthie Mae Garrett.

Lester B. was known as a wonderful longtime educator with MCAEOC where she was able to give many children her guidance, time and love over the years.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories one son, Henry Franklin of Lansing, Mich.; one sister, Linnie Franklin of Blytheville; grandchildren, Kentrell Franklin and Keyasia Davis, both of Fort Worth Texas, “Motor” of Blytheville, Jasmine Jones of Kennett, Mo., and Letitia (Joseph) Griffin of Glen Carbon, Ill.; her best friends, Barbara Times, Evette Terry and Dorothy Johnson; one god daughter, Mousalla Smith; and a host of other nieces, nephews, friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 6, from 10-11 a.m. at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, 634 W. Main Street, Blytheville. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Memory Garden in Blytheville.
