Martha Jane Wofford

Martha Jane Wofford, born Martha Jane Reel on Dec. 16, 1952, in Crawfordsville, peacefully passed away on March 21, 2024, at the age of 71 in Marked Tree. She was surrounded by her loving family.

Martha is survived by her devoted husband, Johnnie Wofford, of the home; two sons, Michael Wofford and Terry Wofford, both of Marked Tree; two brothers, Sammie Toombs of Lepanto and Lee Reels of Marked Tree; four sisters, Gloria Ray of St. Louis, Mo., Dove Moore of Lepanto, Velma Reel of Lepanto, and James Anna Ray of Lepanto; as well as 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Reel; mother, Martha Toombs-Reel; son, Charles Wofford; two brothers, Curley Reels and Willie James Reels; and sister, Evelyn Holliman.

A private service will be held in Martha’s honor. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements.

Martha will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
