Carol Evon Day, 64, departed this life on March 19, 2024, in Jonesboro. Born on April 11, 1959, in Blytheville, she was a cherished pillar of her community and a beacon of love for her family.

Carol’s memory will be forever treasured by her beloved daughters, Tamera Day of Mobile, Ala., Tara Day of Jonesboro and Taylor Day of Little Rock. She leaves behind a legacy through her brothers, James Wilson Jr. of Jonesboro, Bruce Wilson of Indianapolis, Ind., and Dorwayne Wilson of Osceola, as well as her sisters, Shayla Wilson of Little Rock and Carolyn Hatcher of Blytheville. Her life was further blessed with joy by her six grandchildren. Carol now joins in eternal rest her late parents, James Wilson and Theola Dunn, and her treasured husband, Lewis Day.

A faithful congregant of the New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center, Carol lived a life of devotion and service to her church community in Osceola, where she found profound peace and fellowship.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in commemorating Carol’s life at the New Mt. Pleasant Christian Worship Center. A visitation will be held Saturday, March 30, from noon until 2 p.m. The funeral service will commence at 2 p.m. with Bishop Greg Brown presiding. The interment will follow at Whiteside Cemetery, where Carol will be laid to rest.
