Linda Darlene Chalk

Linda Darlene Chalk was born June 5, 1958, to the late Lawrence and Mattie Peeks. She confessed her hope in Christ at an early age. She graduated from Osceola High School in 1976. She worked in the industrial industry in Osceola for many years. After leaving the industrial industry, Linda worked for the Seminole Village Housing as the property manager until she decided to relocate to Jonesboro. Upon arriving in Jonesboro, Linda began working for the Jonesboro Housing Authority as the property manager. After her retirement, she went back into the work field in the retail business. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mattie Peeks; three brothers, Lawrence Peeks Jr., Ronald and Donald Peeks; one sister Bonnie Clayton; and her son, Leslie Charles Chalk Jr.

Linda departed this life to her new life with Christ on Monday, March 18, 2024.

She leaves her love and memories to be cherished by two sons, Joshua (Tamara) Chalk of Dallas, Texas, and Aaron Allen of Jonesboro; one special daughter, Robin Kirkwood of Houston, Texas; three sisters; Ann (Lawrence) Rowe of Osceola, Jennifer (Larry) Jones of Memphis, Tenn., Wendy Young of Jonesboro; a special sister, Nita Johnson of Houston, Texas; one brother, Samuel Peeks of Jonesboro; 13 grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 23, at Whiteside Cemetery with Jerry Walker III officiating. Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
