Jannette Leigh Spain

Jannette Leigh Spain, 56, of Manila, passed from this life Feb. 18, 2024, at her home. Born Oct. 19, 1967, in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Ray Wesley and Betty Lou Franks Palmer. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was a retired employee of the Manila Nursing Center. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Palmer.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Edwards of Manila; three sons, Gregory Palmer of Paragould, Chase Edwards of Caraway and Jonathan Edwards of Maryland; three brothers, Kenneth Palmer of Harrisburg, Johnny Palmer and Billy (Lesley) Palmer, both of Manila; four sisters, Donna (Lawton) Cole of Paragould, Deborah (Hezzie) Campbell of Evening Shade, Linda (Macario) Salomon and Annette Palmer, both of Manila. Jannette also leaves six grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Serving as the eulogist will be Jonathan Edwards. The family will receive visitors Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
