Melvin Crenshaw Sr.

Melvin Crenshaw Sr., 91, of Blytheville, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2024, at St. Benards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Melvin was born in Crawfordsville to Barley and Ruby Parks Crenshaw and was a self-employed carpet installer. He was in the U.S. Air Force. Melvin loved sports, fishing and playing pool.

In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Crenshaw; one son, Steven Wayne Crenshaw; and two brothers, Perry Crenshaw and Huey Crenshaw.

He is survived by three children, Melvin Ronald Crenshaw, Jr. of Blytheville, Donna Kay Wagganer of Blytheville and David Glen Crenshaw; one brother, Sammy Crenshaw of Bogalusa, La.; five grandchildren, Kelly, Amy, Joe, Jeremy and Madison; and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 11, at Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Mike Welch officiating. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
