Clee Ellen Shrable, 81, of Manila, widow of Junior Shrable, passed from this life Friday, Dec. 29, 2023, at the Arkansas Continued Care Hospital in Jonesboro. Born at Big Lake to the late Edward and Elsie McWilliams Burrow, she was a longtime Manila resident. She worked with her husband at the family business, Shrable’s Cabinet Shop, until 1996. Ellen was a member of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Manila. She loved working in the yard, going to rummage sales, eating out and spending time with friends and family. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Alberta Kirby, Freda Gay Bass and Nell Dean Whitehead, and a brother, Jim Burrow.

Survivors include two sons, Tracy Shrable (Brigette) of Conway and Jerry Shrable (Veda) of Manila; one daughter, Paula Brown (Jimmy) of Gulf Shores, Ala.; two brothers, Rudy Burrow of Leachville and Max Burrow of Paragould; one sister, Judy Polston of Fontana, Calif. Ellen also leaves six grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Reverend Troy Burrow and Reverend Rudy Burrow officiating. Burial followed in the Manila Cemetery. Serving as active pallbearers were Keith Shrable, Keith Thompson, Chris Haynes, Ryan Shrable, Tony Hister and Jacob Brown.
