Anthony Q. Lawson, a.k.a. “Leggs Diamond,” 57, of Blytheville, departed from this life Nov. 18, 2023, at Great River Medical Center. He was born Nov. 23, 1965, in Blytheville, to the late Syelechia Lawson and Mrs. Betty J. Williams Lawson Kelly.

Anthony had a love for his friends and a special love for his mother in his own way. He loved his mobility scooter and loved to ride day and night. To him his scooter was his personal vehicle.

He was preceded in death by his father; Syelechia Lawson; stepfather; Larry D. Kelly; grandparents, William and Sylvia Lawson, and Eddie and Jessie Williams.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Kelly of Blytheville; six aunts, Geneva Lawson Smith and Dorothy Lawson, both of Little Rock, Joyce Lawson Jacks of Jonesboro, Eddie Mae Perdue and Delores Debose, all of Blytheville, Annie Lockhart of Chicago, Ill.; one uncle, Randy Williams of Newborn, Tenn.; as well as a host of cousins that he affectionately called his nieces and nephews, and several close friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Dec. 2, at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville, from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral to follow. Burial will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Pastor Johnny Williams will be officiating.

Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville will oversee the arrangements.
