Robert F. (Bobby) Lowerins

Robert F. (Bobby) Lowerins, 80, of the West Ridge community near Osceola, passed from this life Monday, Nov. 20, 2023, at South Mississippi County Regional Medical Center in Osceola. Born in Luxora, he was the son of the late W.F. and Dora Sides Lowerins and had been a resident of the West Ridge community for the past 20 years. He was a retired riverboat captain and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hazen Looney and Billy Wayne Looney.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Frankie Stroud Lowerins of the home; two sons, Winston Oatsvall of Osceola and Phil Oatsvall of Jonesboro; son-in-law, Daniel Kane of Osceola; sister, Kay Cannon of Ponca City, Okla. He also leaves one grandson, Ronnie Sharp of Jacksonville, Fla.
