Dennis James Clayton

Dennis James Clayton, 66, of Pine Bluff, formerly of Osceola, passed away Oct. 9, 2023, at Chi St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. He was born June 10, 1957, in Osceola to John Henry and Viola Sims Clayton. He was a master barber and a member of Prayer Garden C.O.G.I.C. in Pine Bluff. Mr. Clayton was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Vertie Mae Clayton, Oberia Rofe and Barbara Jordan.

He is survived by three brothers, Lloyd Henry “L.H.” Clayton of Kansas City, Mo., Larry (Jennifer) Clayton of Jacksonville, Fla., and Melvin (Rosie) Clayton of Pine Bluff; three sisters, Luvetria Holman and Dazer Mason of Erie, Penn., and Dorothy Clayton of Kansas City, Mo.

Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 13, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral service will be Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Osceola. Burial is at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Pastor Jerry Williams officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of the arrangements.
