David Anthony McCain

David Anthony McCain, 66, of Manila, passed from this life Sunday, Sept. 17, 2023, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born in Leachville to the late Edgar and Novah Wollard McCain, he was a longtime Manila resident and a 1975 graduate of Manila High School. David worked as a security officer for Century Casino for 24 years before retiring in 2020. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Manila. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching any Arkansas Razorback ballgames. In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by four brothers, Ed McCain, JR McCain, Brent McCain and Bill McCain, and one sister, Mary Parks.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Judy McCain of the home; two daughters, Kimma Boyles of Blytheville and Pamela Platz (Jon) of Manila; two brothers, Donald McCain of Russellville and Terry McCain of Jacksonville, Fla.; one sister, Anita Gillihan of Jonesboro; eight grandchildren, Tristan McCain (Tiffany), Kain Fine (Leah), Marshall Ashabranner, Brentley Sabella, Blade Platz, Jagger Platz, Lindsey Lee (Allan) and Lilly Johnston; six great-grandchildren, Drake Ford, Preston Ford, Liam Ford, Zaidan Pierce, Anabelle Ford and Kaylee Norton.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila. Disposition will be private. Friends may sign the online guest register at www.HowardFuneralService.com.
