Marlene Frazer Battles

Marlene Frazer Battles, 92, of Steele, Mo., passed away Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at River Oaks Care Center in Steele.

Marlene was born in Hermondale, Mo., to Everett Andrew and Ora Reams Frazer and was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and was an excellent seamstress. She loved to quilt and cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Joe Battles; brother, Archie Frazer; and sisters, Audrey Arnold, Rose Bain, Nellie Jo Ballard and Patsy Owrey.

Marlene is survived by her children, Linda Crawford and her husband Jim of Steele, and Brenda Allard and her husband Joe of Cooter, Mo.; grandchildren, Kim Corkran and her husband Matthew, Keith Allard, Kyle Crawford, and Dustin Crawford and his wife Autumn; great-grandchildren, Bethany Skinner and her husband Bobby, Jordan Corkran, Hannah Corkran, Molly Crawford, and Ty Crawford; and sister, Golda Ryan and her husband Bob of Howell, Mich.

A mass of Christian burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 20, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Father Clayton Kilburn CM officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Steele. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5-6 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home, with Rosary beginning at 6 p.m. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com
