Timmy Decker

Timmy (Timothy, Tim, Timmy, or Little Timmy) Decker, 57, of Jonesboro, died unexpectedly on July 20, 2023, at his home. He was born Oct. 17, 1965, in St. Louis, Mo. Timmy graduated from Manila High School, Class of 1986, and studied architecture at Arkansas State University. He was a carpenter by trade. He liked to swim and make people laugh. Timmy suffered with health problems for the last five years of his life and sought a relationship with God.

He was predeceased by his parents, Timothy Olen Decker and Linda Carolyn Carter, as well as his youngest sibling/brother, Ronnie Lynn Decker, 41 years at his death (March 8, 1980-Nov. 21, 2021).

Surviving him is his only son, Timothy Wayne Decker Jr. (32), with his two grandchildren, Kelton Wayne Decker (12) and Benjamin Shane Decker (3). Surviving also are his siblings, Sharon Kay Decker Turney, Merry Gay Decker Dyson (55), Daniel Auston Bass Sr. (54), Clifford Olen Decker (51), and Glenda Ann Decker Carter (47).

A graveside memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18, at the Leachville Cemetery in Leachville. A family reception will be held directly after the memorial service at 6 p.m. in a reserved area at the Golden Corral located at: 2405 E. Highland Dr., Jonesboro, AR 72401. Please join us and plan to pay for your food if you choose to eat.
