Bettie Fay Golden

Bettie Fay Golden, 75, passed away July 18, 2023, in Little Rock at UAMS. Bettie was born to A.C. McFarland and Mildred Fry on April 20, 1948, in Blytheville. She was a homemaker and a devoted member of Holy Temple Church of the Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents, A.C. McFarland and Mildred Fry.

Bettie is survived by two sons, Alfred Barnes of Jonesboro and Michael Barnes of Murphysboro, Tenn.; five brothers, John R. Cooper of North Carolina, Theo Cooper of Cleveland, Ohio, Herman Cooper of Blytheville, Lorenzo Cooper and Otto Cooper, both of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Mona Pruitt of Cleveland, Ohio; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, at the First M.B. Church in Blytheville from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 28, at the First M.B. Church at 1 p.m., Rev. Odale Jones officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville will be in charge of arrangements.
