Robert Walter “Bubba” Caruthers, Jr.

Robert Walter “Bubba” Caruthers, Jr., 60, of Old Hickory, Tenn., passed away July 6, 2023, at Kennistone Baptist Memorial in Marietta, Ga. He was born May 20, 1963, in Keiser to Robert and Helen Smith Caruthers, Sr. He was a truck driver and a U.S. Army veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Robert Williams Caruthers; and a sister, Betty Klugh.

He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Caruthers of Old Hickory, Tenn.; three sons, Robert Carruthers III (Alma Beteme) of Lavergne, Tenn., George Theragood and Robert Caruthers IV of Old Hickory, Tenn.; two daughters, Portia Rochelle Caruthers of Lebanon, Tenn., and Tracey Carruthers of Blytheville; one brother, Jimmy (Karen) Caruthers of Osceola; seven sisters, Erie (Luther) Brown of Osceola, Geraldine (Glenn) Mayo of Four Oakes, N.C., Bonnie (Henry) Banks of Birmingham, Ala., Mary Alice Burkes of Smithville, S.C., Nora Stotts and Mary Caruthers of Houston, Texas, and Mattie Caruthers of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and 21 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, July 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at Living Word C.O.G.I.C. in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with pastor Archie Thomas officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of the arrangements.
