Debra Brooks

Debra Brooks was born Nov. 13, 1956, to Joe Brooks Jr. and Ruthie Jones in Osceola. She departed this life on July 9, 2023, at her home in Jonesboro at the age of 66.

She leaves to cherish her memories three daughters, Elizabeth McNeal of Jonesboro, Phillis Banest of Sherman, Texas, and LaSonya Brooks of Mesquite, Texas; seven sisters, Gladys Richardson and Jaqueline Love, both of Osceola, Carolyn Garrett, Shanna Garrett, Lahoma Beal and Sharetta Brooks, all of Jonesboro, and Varonda Brooks of Huntsville, Ala.; four brothers, Jesse Brooks of Atlanta, Ga., Ervin Garrett of Blytheville, Sammie Nelson of Jonesboro and Joe Brooks III of Osceola; stepmother, Bernice Brooks of Osceola; two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, July 14, from 10:00-10:55 a.m. at Pleasant Grove M.B. Church in Osceola. A graveside service will follow at 11 at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
