Tony Lamar Buford

Tony Lamar Buford, 49, of Osceola, passed away June 23, 2023, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was born March 31, 1974, in Osceola, to Archie Winford and Shirley Buford. Mr. Buford was a lawn care worker and a member of St. John Full Gospel Church in Osceola. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Tonya Buford of Osceola; two sons, Tony Buford, Jr. of Columbia, Mo., and Avery Dippold of St. Genevieve, La.; one daughter, Tonisha Buford of Benton; nine brothers, Leroy Winford and Adrian Smith of New Madrid, Mo., William Austin of Howardville, Mo., Clifton Resonno and Derek Moore of Jefferson, Mo., Demetrius Moore of Lilbourn, Mo., Darrin Buford and Larry Buford of Osceola and Jerry Buford of Jonesboro; 16 sisters, Gladys Arlotta of Fort Wayne, Ind., Yolonda Winford of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Angelin Moore and Shonte Wigfall of New Madrid, Mo., Latrina Cooper of Sikeston, Mo., LaQuanda Cowen of Florida, Angel Smith of Parma, Miss., Jackolyn Buford, Brittinee Buford and Carolyn Buford of Osceola, Shanetta Tramble of Iowa, Sharon Buford and Sandra Buford of Kansas City, Mo., Whitney Buford of Paragould, Terry Stevenson and Shirlonda Buford of Jonesboro.

Visitation is Friday, June 30, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be Saturday, July 1, at 10 a.m. at St. John Full Gospel Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with pastor Patrick Jackson officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
