The working career years included Gotham Mfg., National Distilleries/Seagram Barrel Company, a self-employed sheet rock hanger and retiring as a farmhand. Daddy enjoyed many hours of hunting squirrel, raccoon and deer as well as countless hours fishing for crappie. He enjoyed the outdoors to the fullest. Daddy lived his life in his earlier years day to day not worrying just being happy with life. He loved to tell some of the most interesting stories about his life. He blessed many people with garden vegetables that he grew over the years in his half acre plus gardens. Later years, he enjoyed watching Westerns and St. Louis Cardinal’s Baseball. He was lifted up by any visits or phone calls from his family or friends. One of his greatest meals was a plain fish sandwich and a side of slaw from Hog Wild BBQ. During his last weeks of his life chapter, he enjoyed wearing his first pair of tennis shoes wheeling around to talk and wave at his new friends that lived at Three Rivers. He leaves those who knew him and loved him with cherished memories.

A special THANK YOU to Steven’s Square staff and residents for providing a peaceful place of living for Daddy before his move to Three Rivers especially his personal caregiver, Lisa Williams, and his lunch meal delivery person Amanda, Johnny Parker who brightened his day, the Lepanto First Responders, Riverside Ambulance, Access Medical in Marked Tree including all medical providers who made his life better, the entire staff and residents of Three Rivers Nursing Center and Rehab including the therapists and the entire staff of Elite Hospice Care.
