James Antonio Banks, Jr.

James Antonio Banks, Jr., 53, passed away May 20, 2023, at SMC Medical Center in Osceola. He was born Dec. 14, 1969, in Osceola to James Banks, Sr. and Theodora Quinn Jackson. He was a U.S. Army veteran and employed at American Greetings in Osceola. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his fiancee, Yolanda Lewis of Arkansas; three sons, Ortegas Gibson of Alabama, Darius Banks and Jaylen Franks of Arkansas; eight daughters, Ciara Ward of Illinois, Michel’le Banks of Indiana, Tacora Gibson, Kabetria Banks, Shunica Banks and Antonia Banks of Alabama, Mariah Franks and Shania Franks of Arkansas; four brothers, Thomas Quinn of Indiana, Earl Banks of Missouri, Kellam Banks and J.J. Banks of Arkansas; three sisters, Cherrie Lewis of Arkansas, Martha Lewis of Indiana and Hope Banks of Tennessee; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, June 2, from 5-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral will be Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola with Prophetess Dreniecesa Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of the arrangements.
