Lawrence Johnson

Lawrence Johnson, 65, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away March 20, 2023, at Harris Methodist in Fort Worth. He was a retired factory worker, member of Mt. Pilgrim MB Church in Milwaukee, Wis., and the National Guard. Mr. Johnson was born Dec. 1, 1957, in Lepanto to Joe and Aletha Reed Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Gloray Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; two sons, Lawrence Johnson, Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas, and Jessie Taylor of South Bend, Ind.; one daughter, Shawanna Jones of Fort Worth, Texas; five brothers, John Henry Johnson, Elisha Johnson and Edward Johnson of Lepanto, Joe Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Kenny Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Sadie Young of Jonesboro; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Pine Rest Cemetery in Lepanto with Rev. James Johnson officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of services.
