Gary Lynn Cook Jr.

Tuesday, March 28, 2023

Gary Lynn Cook Jr., 41, of Trumann, native of Blytheville, was welcomed to eternal life Monday, March 20, 2023, in Little Rock by his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gary was born April 9, 1981, to Gary Lynn Cook Sr. and Judy Jean Cullins in Osceola.

Gary attended Blytheville High School and graduated with the class of 1999. In 2003, Gary enlisted into the United States Army National Guard. He attended Arkansas State University Newport where he received his Associates of Business Administration. He was the founder/owner of GLC Legalizations, LLC that specialized in business preparation and administrative services, as well as business structuring for small businesses, ministries, and other organizations. Since the founding of GLC in 2019, Gary legalized over 150 businesses, six ministries and helped several non profit organizations with funding research. It was Gary’s dream that his daughter Aubree Cook learn the business and work by his side one day.

At a young age Gary knew he wanted to preach and spread the Gospel with love and compassion. He was a member of Dominion World Outreach Ministries in Marion. Gary was a man of God that loved discussing the greatness and goodness of God or as Gary called him, “Daddy GOD”. After years in the making, Nov. 2014, Gary established Kingdom Disciples Ministries, a Kingdom Ministry empowered to bring every believer into a deeper understanding and revelation of who they are in the Kingdom of God.

Gary was a handsome individual known for his style and love for cologne since he was a little boy. He could light up any room with his gapped-tooth smile and fun personality. Gary enjoyed spending time with his family, sitting in his garage listening to music, getting on the grill, working on business plans, going to church, doing yard work, and didn’t mind letting loose with a little dancing. He was a man that truly cherished the memories created with his family from wife, children, parents, siblings, grandparents and so on. During times of conversation, you were likely to hear Gary say, “How you love that,” “a little razzle dazzle,” or “hello, thank’cha.” It was very common for him to call or text out the blue, no matter the time day or night, Gary was always checking in with his family and friends, usually with an encouraging word. He genuinely had a heart for people and wanted to use his gift of administration to help others win and succeed in reaching their life goals.

He was preceded in death by his son, Elijah Cook; maternal grandparents, Otis and Sarah Cullins; paternal grandfather, Hosie Cook; and aunt, Helen Furlow-Cullins.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Ashley Cook of Trumann; six children, Ranesha Cook, Gary Cook III, Bourna’e Cook, Sadarius Cook, Aubree Cook and Ashlynn Cook; stepdaughter, Reygan Guerrero; mother, Judy Jean Cullins of Blytheville; father, Gary Lynn Cook Sr. of Blytheville; sister; Koesha Cook of Atlanta, Ga.; five brothers, Travis Cullins, Maurice Kentrell Ford, Michael Kevin Burns Jr., Garryn Cook and Garrison Cook, all of Blytheville; paternal grandmother, Arzola Cook of Blytheville; best friend, Tedrick Washington of Memphis Tenn.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 12 p.m. Saturday, April 1, at Frontline Family Outreach Ministries in Blytheville with Dr. Sharon Nesbitt officiating. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. until service begins. Burial will immediately follow in Carney Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at carneyfuneralhome.com.
