Dorothy Whiteside

Dorothy Whiteside, 69, passed away March 22, 2023, in Chicago, Ill. She was born Nov. 10, 1953, in Blytheville, to the late Orzell “Odell” and Virginia Whiteside. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie Colburn Sr.; brothers, Charles Whiteside and Odell Whiteside Jr.; and sisters, Bernice Whiteside, Deborah Whiteside and Louatrice Whiteside.

Dorothy is survived by one daughter, Elissa Whiteside of Chicago, Ill.; two sons, Mario Whiteside of Detroit, Mich., and Eddie Colburn Jr. of Chicago, Ill.; four grandchildren; five sisters, Carolyn Whiteside of Chicago, Ill., Eloise Whiteside of Lake Wales, Fla., Mary Ann (Lee) Mosley of Blytheville, Eva Kirkhom of Conway, and Lisa Whiteside of Osceola. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 31, at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home Chapel from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 1, at Bethlehem M.B. Church in Osceola, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
