Melissa Elizabeth Raney McKinney

Melissa Elizabeth Raney McKinney, 49, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Melissa was born on Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs, Colo., to Billy and Geraldean Richardson Raney. She was a member of Heartland PCG and a homemaker. Melissa was a substitute teacher for Blytheville and Gosnell School Districts, and was an active volunteer with the Gosnell Marching Band. Melissa had an infectious energy and was very outspoken. She was a beloved daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

Melissa is survived by her husband, Steve McKinney, Sr. of the home; her mother, Geraldean Raney; children, Steve McKinney, Jr. and his wife Rebecca, Sara McKinney and Marissa McKinney; grandchildren, Ella, Autumn and Kimberly McKinney; brother, James Raney; sister, Katherine Wilson; nieces and nephews, Nicholas Dixon, Lindsey Dixon, Addison Dixon and Logen Jones; and a host of extended family.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby McDaniel officiating. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
