Shirley Ann Weatherspoon

Shirley Ann Weatherspoon, 74, passed away Jan. 24, 2023, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. Shirley was born July 24, 1948, in Hughes to the late J.L. DeBose and Willie Mae Johnson-DeBose. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.L DeBose and Willie Mae Johnson-DeBose, and one sister, Leana Debose.

She survived by her husband, Roy Weatherspoon of Blytheville; two sons, Gary DeBose of Blytheville and Roy Weatherspoon Jr. of Jonesboro; seven daughters, Rochell Williams of Osceola, Sharon Jackson of Conway, Melody Anderson, Miesha Davenport, Arlinda Williams, Dawnn Weatherspoon and Constance DeBose, all of Blytheville; two brothers, John DeBose of Blytheville and Earnest DeBose of Osceola; 27 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

A visitation service will be held Friday, Feb. 3, at Wilson Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. Paul Missionary Church at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bennie Washington officiating. Burial service will follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Blytheville. Wilson Funeral Home will conduct all services.
