Patricia Ann “Pat” Cater

Patricia Ann “Pat” Cater, 78, of Leachville, passed from this life Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2022, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born in Monette to the late Bert and Marie Davidson Barlow, she was a lifelong area resident and a 1963 graduate of Leachville High School. Pat had worked at many area factories including Colson Caster, Milwaukee Tool and the former Brown Shoe Company in Leachville. She enjoyed cooking for her family, her Friday visits to the beauty shop, and spending time with her grandchildren. Pat attended the First Assembly of God in Leachville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Wilma Gilbert, Norma Gragg and Mary Tomlinson; and longtime companion, J.D. Shepard.

Survivors include three sons, Phillip Cater of Monette, Jeff Cater of Leachville and Todd Shepard of Leachville; two daughters, Kim Kelly of Doniphan, Mo., and Holly Webster of Leachville; one sister, Joyce Owens of Paragould. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Kevin Crider and Rev. Zane Gragg officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
