Cynthia Helton

Cynthia Helton, 67, of Katy, Texas, and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Methodist West in Katy, Texas.

Cynthia was born in Blytheville to Thomas and Dorothy Duck Tegethoff. She worked at LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center in Memphis for over 25 years before retiring in 2017.

She was preceded in death by husband, Richard Helton; and her father, Thomas Tegethoff.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Michael Helton and his wife April of Katy, Texas; mother, Dorothy Tegethoff of Paragould; grandchildren, Savannah Burt and her husband John of San Diego, Calif., John Helton and Chloe Helton, both of Katy, Texas; great-grandchildren, Oliver and Eleanore “Ella” Burt; brothers, Tommy Tegethoff and his wife Patty of Paragould and Bill Crowe and his wife Valery of Tennessee; sisters, Betty Thompson and her husband Bo of Como, Miss., and Teresa Exline and her husband Bill of Jackson, Tenn.; three nieces, four nephews, and nine great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 2, at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Clark officiating. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Eldad Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton, Tenn.
