Joe Marion Merritt

Joe Marion Merritt, 68, of Osceola passed away March 31, 2022, at his residence. He was a retired factory worker and a member of New Bethel Church in Joiner. Mr. Merritt was born July 18, 1953 in Denwood to Arthur Henry and Minnie Merritt Williams. He was preceded in death by his father; one daughter, Kim Robinson; and one brother, Rodger Gene Merritt.

He is survived by his mother, Minnie Williams of Osceola; three daughters, Andrea English Bell of Osceola, Marsha Renee' Mitchell of Toledo, Ohio, and Yolanda (Maurice) Rucker of Osceola; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 9, from 1-2 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Rev. Robert Person officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
