Sandra “Sandy” Lawrence

Sandra “Sandy” Lawrence, 80, of Higden, formerly of Blytheville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at her home.

Sandy was born in Chicago, Ill., to Frank and Georgette Phanke Kainz. She kept books and worked alongside her husband at Lawrence Auto Service for many years before moving to Tennessee. She was a former employee at Wal-Mart bakery for over 25 years in Paris before retiring. Sandra loved the Lord and was a member of First Baptist Church in Paris, Tenn., and was a former member of Armorel Baptist Church. She was active within her church and taught women’s Sunday school class at Armorel and in Paris. She loved to sing in the choir and she also sang with the Christian Four Gospel group. In her earlier years, Sandy enjoyed bowling and bowled in many bowling leagues. She loved decorating cakes, quilting, crafting and going fishing. Family was most important to Sandy. She enjoyed family gatherings and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Brennan Alexandra White; brothers, Bobby and Raymond Kainz; and sister, Cathy Berry.

Sandra is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert Lawrence of the home; children, Georgette White and her husband Milt of Smithfield, Utah, Tammy Foster and her husband Gary of Higdon, and Robert Lawrence, Jr. and his wife Teresa of Blytheville; seven grandchildren, Josselyn Jones (Isaiah), Seth White, Luke White, Mandy Hunt (Stetson), Matthew Foster, Jason Lawrence (Kaitlyn) and J.T. Lawrence; seven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Henlee and Henderson Hunt, Tatum, Sophie and Micah Jones, Judd Lawrence and a great-granddaughter due in August; and brothers, Mickey Kainz of Cannon, Colo., and Terry Kainz of Hanover Park, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 15, at 10 a.m. at Armorel Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be Tuesday, March 15, at 3:30 p.m. at Antioch Cemetery in Springville, Tenn., with Rev. Trent Bullock officiating.
