Martha Lee Helms

Martha Lee Helms, 84, of Cardwell, Mo., passed from this life Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2021, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jessie Taylor Wilson and had been a longtime Leachville area resident before making her home in Cardwell. Martha was a homemaker and had worked for the former Lane's Nursing Home of Monette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arlis Helms in 1982; two sons, Virgil Helms and William Helms; one daughter, Judy Kramer; two brothers Ernest Lee "Jack" Wilson and William Birl Wilson; and two sisters, Lois Taylor and Linda McMinn.

Survivors include one son, John Wayne Helms of Monette; three daughters, Laura Jean Holder of Cardwell, Lou Alice Morris of Leachville and Teresa Darlene Langston of Caraway; one brother, Johnny Robert Wilson of Conway; three sisters, Barbara Ann Moore of Mena, Glenda Ford of Batesville and Joann Rice of Mena. She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
