Virginia Marian Reid

On Sunday, Oct. 10, 2021, Virginia Marian Reid, loving mother of three sons, passed away at the age of 70 in Fairhope, Ala. Virginia was born in Longview, Texas, to Walter and Eda Hampton. She grew up in Arkansas where she received her teaching degree from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro in 1972. She married twice and had three sons, Mark, Victor and Tommy. She retired from teaching at Blytheville High School in May of 2017. Virginia had a passion for gardening, canning and self-sufficiency. She was an active member of the community. She was loved by many especially her students and coworkers at BHS. She was preceded in death by her father Walter; her mother Eda; her brother Walter, and sister Jean. 

She is survived by her children, Mark and Kristina Finch, Victor and Brooke Reid, and Tommy and Sharon Reid; and grandchildren, Skylar Reid, AJ and Juliette Finch, Camille, Lola, and Vivian Reid, and Laine and Savannah Rounsaville. She also has one great-grandchild, Madison Rousnaville.
