Gladys Ann Masterson

Gladys Ann Masterson, 80, of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, May 28, 2021, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Leachville, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Hattie Wyser Wess and had been a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Leachville High School and the widow of Charles Sherman Masterson. Gladys was a longtime employee of the former Florafax International and Advanced Printing Corporation and had also worked for the City of Leachville. She was a member of the Apostolic House of Prayer in Leachville and had most recently attended Mt. Pleasant General Baptist Church near Monette. Gladys loved her church families, enjoyed crossword puzzles, collecting knick-knacks, watching westerns and reading. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by the grandparents who raised her, John and Nora Finley, and one daughter, Pamela Nix.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen Keith Baker (Cynthia) of Highland, Mich., and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
