Susan Makuch Tatum

Susan Makuch Tatum, 68, of Walnut Ridge passed from this life Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born at Jonesboro, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Marianna "Maria" Skawinska Makuch, Sr. Following the death of her mother, she had the good fortune to be raised by her stepmother, Velma Makuch. A 1970 graduate of Jonesboro High School, she worked for over 30 years at Quad Graphics, formerly Krueger, in Jonesboro, retiring in 2007. Susan always had a smile and a funny story to share with her family and friends. Her legacy to be remembered by all who knew her will be her caring and giving heart. She loved her family and she made the best desserts you ever tasted. In addition to her parents and stepmother, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Makuch.

Survivors include her son, Stanley Lee Stickler; her daughter, Brandy Nicole Stickler; two brothers, Stan Makuch, Jr. and Henry Troxler (Anita). She also leaves five grandchildren, Allison, Michael, Matthew, Annie and Natalie, and countless friends and extended family members.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 12, at the Jonesboro Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of Howard Funeral and Cremation Service in Leachville. Honorary pallbearers will be her extended family and friends from Quad Graphics. The family requests that you honor her memory by doing a good deed, make someone laugh, encourage someone who is unable to get out and tell them you love and care about them.
