Charles Robert Boyd, Sr.

Charles Robert Boyd, Sr., 74, of Manila died Jan. 17, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. He was a farmer and of the Baptist faith. Mr. Boyd was born Dec. 29, 1946 in Cornwall, Tenn., to Charles Edward and Verna Spraddling Boyd. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son Charles Robert Boyd, Jr. and one sister Diane Long.

He is survived by his wife Susie Boyd of Manila; five sons, Ricky Boyd, John Boyd, James Boyd and Steven Boyd of Ardmore, Okla., and Donnie Boyd of Bakersfield, Calif.; two daughters, Angela Griffin of West Ridge and Peggy Smith of California; two brothers, Paul Boyd of Ardmore, Okla., and Ricky Boyd of Oklahoma; one sister, Linda Allred of Blytheville; 32 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 22, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. The funeral will be Saturday, Jan. 23, at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial is at Manila Cemetery in Manila with Bro. Jeff Miles officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge.
