Jimmy William Goforth

Jimmy William Goforth, 84, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, Nov. 6, 2020, at his home.

Jimmy was born in Blytheville to T.W. and Mary Fraser Goforth. He was a retired purchasing agent for First National Bank. Jimmy was an avid collector of telephones, Blytheville memorabilia and antiques.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Betty Allen.

Jimmy leaves his wife, Deborah Parks Goforth of the home; three children, Teri Goforth of Beaumont, Texas, Sandy Thurman of Houghson, Calif., and John Goforth of Blytheville; one sister, Jane Ralph of Blytheville; and one granddaughter, LouAnne Shaw.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Morris officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 100 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
