Derrell Dee Carter departed this life Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020, at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 14 days. He was born Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1967, in Jonesboro and lived his lifetime in Trumann. He was a factory worker and of the Pentecostal faith. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dewayne Edward Carter, and his father, Delbert D. Carter.

He is survived by one son, Jarred Carter of Trumann; four daughters, Brittany (Jared) Hunt, Whitney Carter-Hoskins, Whitney (Robyn) Heard all of Trumann and Annie Marie Carter of Brookland; his mother, Annie Marie Carter of Brookland; five sisters, Teresa Marie (Mitchell) Brown, Carol Jo (David) Richards, both of Trumann, Rose Ann Loven of Brookland, Francis Darline (Dewayne)Williams of Walcot and Christine (David) Smith of Paragould; five grandchildren, Kash Heavener, PaisLeigh Heavener, Lakyn Manus, Chloe Hunt and Chezni Medina.

A Celebration of Life was Oct. 23 at First Pentecostal Church in Trumann with Brother Jimmy Loven and Brother Kenneth O’Connell officiating. Burial followed in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery in Jonesboro under the direction of Thompson Funeral Home of Trumann. Active Pallbearers were Jared Hunt, John May, Josh Brown, Dustin Miller, Brandon McClaughlin and Jimmy Loven, Sr. Honorary pallbearers were Kash Heavener, PaisLeigh Heavener, Jason Brown, Jonathon Brown, Mitchell Brown and Dylan Loven. In compliance with COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing and face masks were required along with the signing of a COVID-19 form.
