Junior Overton
Junior Overton, 86, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2020, at his home.
Junior was born in Blytheville to Billie and Eva Mae Overton. He was a retired farmer and a member of Lone Oak Baptist Church. Junior was an avid duck hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Overton; two brothers; three sisters; and one grandson, Jason Ingram.
Junior leaves his wife of 68 years, Jean Overton of the home; two children, Regina Ingram and her husband Joe of Blytheville and Billy Overton and his wife Terri of Blytheville; five grandchildren, Amy Stanley (Brian), Amanda Watkins (Darrell), Casey Knight (Justin), Courtney Olivares (Jose) and Heather Phelps (Johnny); and 12 great-grandchildren, Hunter and Payton Curtis, Sarah, Hannah, Meredith, Selene, Allison, Lydia and Daniel Stanley, Jose Olivares and Kyleigh and Rhett Phelps.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Junior’s caregivers, Sharon Choctaw and Mary, and his nurse, Kristie Birmingham.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 20, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mitchell King officiating. Burial will be private. The family received friends Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
