Danny J. Pankey, 79, of Blytheville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2019, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Danny was born in Blytheville to C.B. and Mauveline Michael Pankey. He was a retired farmer and car salesman at Tri State Auto Sales and was a member of Cole Ridge Baptist Church. He served his country with honor in the United States Army. Danny was an avid duck hunter who loved talking politics and religion. He served as the former constable of Hector Township for several years. Danny’s family was his life and he was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Arkie Pankey.

Danny leaves three children, Billy Pankey and his wife Paula of Brookland, Richie Pankey of Blytheville and Danny Jerome Pankey and his wife Tonya of Blytheville; three brothers, Clarence Pankey of Blytheville, Jerry Pankey of Lutz, Fla., and Kenneth Pankey of Smith Station, Ala.; seven grandchildren, Mitchell Pankey, Sayer Pankey and his wife Season, Caleb Pankey, Austin Pankey and his wife Sarah, Joshua Pankey and his wife Melissa, Jared Pankey and Katie Beth Pankey; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Friday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Pankey and Rev. Joshua Pankey officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland.
