Virgie Lee Walker

Virgie Lee Walker, 91, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, Sept. 23, 2019, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. She was born Dec. 7, 1927, in Missouri and was the daughter of Isaiah and Hattie Early Jackson. Virgie was a member of God’s Holy Temple under the leadership of Bishop Randy Crenshaw.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Burnell Williams and Leon Walker, one son, Burnell Walker, Jr., and a daughter, Helen Stewart.

Virgie leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Gloria Williams of Blytheville; three sons, Robert Williams of Ft. Worth, Texas, Larry (Alberta) Williams and Harold Williams, both of Blytheville; one sister, Helen Jackson of Gary, Ind.; one brother, Lucious (Ruby) Jackson of Lansing, Mich.; 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 11 until service time on Saturday at the church.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Saturday, Sept. 28, at Greater Jeremiah Spiritual Church of Christ, 1100 South Lake Street, Blytheville. Bishop Randy Crenshaw will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Gethsemane Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville.
