Leonard “Leo” Medlock

Leonard “Leo” Medlock, 82, of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019, after heart surgery. He was born Oct. 30, 1936, to Nelson and Leona Medlock in Bono and was of the Baptist faith. Leonard was a retired Msgt. Crew Chief and a Purple Heart recipient in the U.S. Air Force and served in Guam and Thailand. He was also retired from ACCO in Blytheville. He enjoyed doing mechanic work, fishing, playing his guitar, and making cd’s that he shared with his friends and family. On June 16, he would have been married to his loving wife for 40 years.

Leonard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Eugene and Odell Medlock.

Leonard is survived by his wife, Yuvonda Kay Medlock of the home; children, Tony Medlock and wife Cindy of Bluffton, Texas, Karen “Cissy” Medlock of Luling, Texas; one brother, Oscar Medlock and his wife Alene, of Pocahontas; three grandsons, Jason, Cody, and Brandon Medlock of Texas; three great-granddaughters of Texas; and his dogs, Holly and Baby Doll that he loved and they loved him.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 12, at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Walker officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
