Luttice Mae Boyd

Luttice Mae Boyd, 88, of Memphis, Tenn., passed away April 8, 2019 at Signature Healthcare in Memphis. She was born December 7, 1930, in Luxora, to John and Bessie Mae Lewis. Ms. Boyd attended George Washington Carver School in Luxora, worked with Hillary Clinton with the Head Start Program, she became a chef through the teachings of the owner of Giovani's in Detroit, Mich., and upon returning to Arkansas was trained to be a butcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Billy Thomas, her second husband McKinley Boyd and one brother L.C. Lewis.

She is survived by one daughter Harriet (Gregory) Yunker; two brothers, Bobby (Willye) Morrison and Doug (Kay) Morrison; grandchildren Conifer (Maia) Yunker and Alex Yunker; great-grandchildren, Bianca, Lia, Skylar, Alexia, Ayden, Cyrus, Jaxen and Ava.

Visitation will be from 12-2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with evangelist Lois Mabins officiating.
