City, school district should follow lead of county judge

Wednesday, March 6, 2019

To the editor:

Experienced business people make the best administrators. They are skilled in assessing and logically setting priorities for needed projects. They understand that planning and accountability are key factors to controlling costs and quality of services that ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.

Successful administrators are also sticklers for detail.

They are insistent on efficiency and completeness.

In a recent interview newly elected Mississippi County Judge John Alan Nelson indicated he fully understands those concepts and intends to apply themto running the county's business.

Maybe it's time our district school board and city government do the same?
