Howard Lathrom Sr.

Howard Lathrom Sr., 78, of Marked Tree, passed away Feb. 24, 2019, at NEA Hospital in Jonesboro. He was retired from Malone Oil, retired Vietnam Army veteran and a member of First Baptist Church in Marked Tree. Mr. Lathrom was born Jan. 6, 1941, to Otto Lynn and Audrey Crisp Lathrom in Manes, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Lathrom of Marked Tree; two sons, Howard Lathrom Jr. of Leesville, La., and Johnny L. Lathrom of Fort Riley, Kan.; one daughter, Judy A. Harsson of Marked Tree; two sisters, Betty Meade and Mary Lou McCallister, both of Mountain Grove, Mo.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 1, at First Baptist Church in Marked Tree, with Bro. Dale Noe officiating. Burial will be in the V.A. Cemetery in Birdeye.
