Dorothy Jean Staton Massengale

Dorothy Jean Staton Massengale, 70, of Blytheville went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2018 at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville. Dorothy was born in Blytheville on September 20, 1948 to Charlie and Bertha Staton. She was a member of New Jerusalem Church where she served on the Usher Board.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Karen Staton, one son, Tony Staton, sisters, Lula Mae Neal, Barbara Dean, six brothers, Elbert and Jimmy Dean, Joe Staton, John Staton, Charles Staton and Robert Franklin and a grandson, Ariz Staton.

She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Staton of Lansing, MI; and Tiffany Bates of Blytheville; two sons, Timothy Massengale of Chicago; and Jeffrey Massengale of Blytheville; two brothers, Larry (Alice) Staton of Chicago, IL; and Danny (Pervis) Statan of St. Louis; 11 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Dorothy Jean Staton Massengale will be conducted on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at New Jerusalem Church, 1215 East Street in Blytheville. Bishop Brian Olden will deliver the eulogy and burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until funeral time at 1:00 p.m.
